Welcome to Active Tree Care Ltd David James has been passionate about trees since a very young age. In 1993 leaving his construction background behind him David finally fulfilled his dream to live and work amongst trees and established himself as a Tree Surgeon. Active Tree Care Ltd then slowly developed as a business mainly through “word of mouth recommendations” and repeat orders for work. Arboricultural training was initially provided by Cannington College (now part of Bridgwater College) where David achieved his first qualification in Arboriculture, a National Certificate in Horticulture and Arboriculture. Inspired by this achievement David continued his professional development to gain further qualifications at Westonbirt Arboretum, Kingston Maurward and Bournemouth University. David continues to be involved with Bridgwater College as a Member of the Education Advisory Panel and as a training provider for his employees. David is also involved in an advisory capacity for Local Authorities.
